Reading Time: < 1 minuteAs of today, Golden Village‘s basic tier movie ticket prices have been increased by an additional 50 cents. This move, according to the official press release, “is an inevitable consequence of current market situation and rising business costs, goods, services, labour, film rentals,” said David Glass, Managing Director of Golden Village Multiplex.
The price raise does not affect Gold Class and Cinema Europa ticket prices as well as all ongoing movie promotional packages and preferential rates with banks, students and
other promotional partners.
Earlier this year, rival movie chain Cathay has also raised its ticket prices by 50 cents. However, both Shaw Organisation and Eng Wah Cinemas have yet to follow suit.
