‘Colours’ wins Best Film1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteThe nine minute short Colours, by Derrick Lui and Lee Chee Tian, have been awarded the title of ‘Best Film’ at the Auburn International Film Festival For Children And Young Adults in the Made By Adults For/About Children category.
The $11,000 movie was recently screened in the LA Shorts Fest 2007, and is due to make its way to Beijing for the Singapore Season in Beijing, starting on 12 October and lasting a month till 10 November 2007. It is also screening at the New York City Short Film Festival from 24 – 27 October, 2007.
Synopsis: To Megan, the world appears to lack life and meaning. She can’t tell the sky from the ground, the flowers from the leaves, the dull from the lively. She is colour-blind. Until one day, she chances upon a magical pair of glasses, which shows her more colours than she ever imagined.
