The Malayan Communist Emergency may seem like a relic of a bygone era to us now, but its aftermath still lingers. What ever happened to the former guerillas of the Malayan Communist Party after the 1989 peace treaty with Malaysia and Thailand? The new documentary I Love Malaya endeavours to find out.

Made by Chan Kah Mei, Ho Choon Hiong, Eunice Lau, Christopher Len & Wang Eng Eng, the film will have its premiere this weekend at the Asian Civilisations Museum on Saturday, November 25 at 7 pm. This is the first film funded under the ISEAS Film Programme.
